As we are nearing the end of the 2008-09 school year, I want to say what a wonderful year we have been having and the amount of growth in English, literature and social studies with the students has been amazing.  I have seen students increase their comprehension, vocabulary and English writing skills from September through the 3rd Quarter. 

As we wind down to the last few weeks of school, please make sure your children continue to grow throughout this time and the summer.  Take them to the library or bookstore and see that they continue to read and expand their knowledge.  If possible, take them on some short trips so they can learn new and exciting things.

Class schedule:

1^st Hour:   Current Events

2^nd Hour:  English

3^rd Hour:  English

4^th Hour:  Planning Time

5^th Hour:  Civics

6^th Hour:  English

7^th Hour:  Literature

1.             No gum, food or drinks allowed in the room.

2.             If you need to leave the room for any reason, ask for permission.

3.             Respect everyone in the room.

4.             If there is homework assigned, it is due the next class day.

5.             Follow the dress code.

6.             My desk is off limits except for getting pencils.

7.             Be on time and ready to work in class every day.

8.             I will take care of the heat, windows, shades, and air conditioning.

9.             If you need help, ASK.

10.          If you need help after school, ASK.

11.         Please get water and use the restroom at break time.

I am here to help you learn and become the best person you can be.  Please try to do your best at all times.
